A beautiful February celebration at Hylands Estate
Anika and Faisal celebrated their wedding at Hylands Estate on 23 February 2025, choosing a date that felt like the perfect time to begin their new chapter together.
Discovering Hylands
Hylands Estate made an immediate impression on the couple.
It was the first and only venue they viewed, and they booked it immediately.
“The house is so beautiful inside and out — it had the wow factor we were looking for,” they shared. The elegance of the rooms and the sweeping grounds gave them exactly the backdrop they envisioned for their celebration.
A personal touch from the bride
Anika brought an extra layer of creativity to the day: she DIYed elements of her own wedding décor, which became the starting point for her business, Ani Creates. She now offers bespoke pieces such as welcome signs, mirror signs, guest book tables, gajra and jhumka boards, and plinth hire.
Her designs have already made their way back to Hylands! Anika showcased her work at our most recent wedding showcase, where couples could see her modern and elegant style in person.
As she explains:
“Décor and signage aren’t just practical; they set the tone and bring your vision to life.”
The wedding day
One moment stood out clearly as their favourite: their entrance as husband and wife.
Walking into a room filled with their loved ones created a memory they’ll always treasure.
Planning the details
To shape their décor and overall theme, the couple turned to Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, building moodboards that helped pull their ideas together. This visual approach guided the styling of their celebration and supported the modern, elegant look they wanted.
When getting your ideas together for your wedding, Anika recommends mixing inspiration from different places. "Sometimes the best results come from combining ideas".
Advice for future couples
Their advice is simple and heartfelt:
“Enjoy every moment and don’t stress too much about the little details — the day goes by so quickly, so soak it all in!”
