Showcase regular Fasil from KISS Entertainment answers our questions prior to his appearance at the January Wedding Showcase.
Fasil, we’re so pleased to see you’re returning to us for another showcase! What’s your favourite thing about Hylands Estate?
Honestly, it’s how well the venue is run. We work at Hylands regularly and the organisation behind the scenes is second to none. The team know exactly what they’re doing, everything runs smoothly and that makes a huge difference on the day. When a venue operates like that, it allows us to do our job properly and deliver the best possible experience for the couple.
Thank you very much! It sounds like we’re all on the same page for why we do it – our couples. Why did you start KISS Entertainment?
We wanted to offer a genuinely high-end service built around quality and attention to detail, but in a way that felt accessible to everyone. Not everyone understands AV, and that’s completely fine. Our approach has always been to guide clients clearly through their options, explain things in simple terms and help them achieve the best possible result within a budget that works for them. It’s about delivering high standards, while making the process easy, supportive and transparent from start to finish.
And with that in mind, what advice do you give couples looking to book your services at Hylands?
Share your ideas with us and don’t be afraid to dream a little. We know Hylands really well and understand how to make the space look and feel its best. Our biggest piece of advice is to trust the process and let us guide you — when that happens, everything comes together naturally and the day just flows.
It’s always a relief for couples to know they are in safe hands. At what stage of the planning process should couples book with you?
We’re very comfortable handling last-minute bookings and can still deliver something special at short notice, but getting us involved earlier definitely helps. It gives us time to fine-tune the details and think about how everything fits together. With our experience, we’re often able to help beyond just the music and lighting — from layout ideas to timings and the overall flow of the day. The more time we have to collaborate, the more tailored and seamless the end result becomes.
So, the sooner the better! What should couples expect when they book with you?
They can expect honesty, clear advice and a team that genuinely cares about their event. We’re very open about what will and won’t work, and we’ll always recommend what makes sense for the couple — not just what looks good on paper. Our approach is calm, straightforward and built on years of experience delivering events properly.
You’re bring so much expertise with you when you are booked for a wedding at Hylands Estate. What are your predicted trends for 2026?
Lighting, without a doubt. It’s one of the biggest things people overlook, but it has such a huge impact on how a wedding feels. More couples are starting to realise that when lighting is done well, it elevates the entire day — not just how the room looks, but the atmosphere from start to finish.
Lastly, the perfect playlist can really lift a reception and end the night in the most memorable way! Have you got a favourite track or one that is guaranteed to get people on their feet?
After doing this for years, it’s always the timeless tracks that work best. Popular songs come and go very quickly, but music that brings back memories and gets different generations involved never fails. Those are the moments that really fill the dancefloor.
