Puresound Events was inspired by years of experience as a DJ, observing common mistakes and hearing frequent client complaints. We saw opportunities to improve and decided to step in, making the necessary corrections and filling gaps in the industry. Our focus has always been on enhancing event experiences by addressing what was missing and transforming ideas into reality.
With that in mind, how important is production for a wedding?
Production is crucial as it sets the tone and creates a unique atmosphere. In today’s world, where guests attend numerous events, exceptional production adds a “wow” factor that distinguishes one celebration from another. It plays a key role in making the event memorable and visually stunning.

The staff at Hylands Estate are incredibly supportive. The venue’s central and accessible location is unmatched, offering everything in one place. Couples can have both their church ceremony and reception at the same venue, whether indoors or outdoors.
Though we are not photographers, some of the most breathtaking wedding photos we’ve seen were taken at Hylands Estate. The greenery, historic buildings, and scenic landscapes provide countless photo opportunities, making it a dream setting for any wedding.
It is pretty dreamy round here! Thank you for such lovely comments about our staff, too. Here’s a tough question for you: what are your predicted trends for upcoming weddings?
This is a challenging one! Recently, magazine booths have become very popular, and we now provide this service. Custom seamless dancefloors have been a staple, and we believe magazine booths will remain a trend due to their unique and interactive experience.
LED screens are making a strong comeback. They have been used in the past but are now highly requested again because they allow couples to display various media such as photos, videos, and custom graphics. Fully printed dancefloors also remain a classic choice for weddings.
You must attend so many weddings per year, and see such a variety of different ways to celebrate a couple’s union! What is your favourite thing about weddings?
Our favourite moment is seeing everything come together—the lighting, sound, décor, and final setup. The look on the bride and groom’s faces when they first see the transformed venue is priceless. A wedding is one of the most significant milestones in life, and witnessing its success is euphoric.
Finally, is there a concept you would love to do at Hylands?
We would love to create a full production setup at Hylands Estate. This would include Full Proper dynamic lighting to enhance the venue’s ambiance, a stage on both sides—one for the band and one for the couple—and LED video walls displaying motion graphics. We envision a seamless dancefloor stretching from the bride and groom’s stage to the band’s platform, creating a visually stunning and immersive experience.
We’re on board with that idea already! Finally, what’s your favourite thing about working at Hylands Estate as a Duty Manager?
It’s definitely the variety and flexibility of the job. There aren’t many places where you could be running a civil wedding one day, watching Wind in the Willows outside the next, all while organising someone’s wedding cake for the weekend. Hylands makes that possible for me, and it’s why I love working as a Duty Manger here.
