At Hylands Estate, we pride ourselves in being able to offer a luxurious setting for any couples ready to make that big commitment. We welcome couples who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or straight, or however you wish to describe your relationship.

Our venue truly is for everyone, whether it’s a large party or small ceremony. The stunning countryside backdrop, vast Essex skies above and our beautifully kept grounds and gardens are available for all weddings all year round.

Decisions, decisions

Before you plan anything else, we recommend all couples come and see us, or have a chat with our wedding expert team so you can see the venue at its best. Depending on the size of your guest list, or whether you’d like to spend the whole day with us, there are so many options of flexible room set-ups and arrangements to choose from!

Our Drawing Room and Banqueting Rooms make for timeless and breath-taking ceremony surroundings, the Grand Pavilion can host larger ceremonies as well as the perfect space for your reception. Our beautifully renovated wedding suites host up to 25 people if you wished to use these as areas to get ready, or just have a quiet moment away from the party.

Making your day special

As well as access to our accredited suppliers list, couples are welcome to choose how they decorate the ceremony and receptions areas to give their special day a personal look and feel. You could be surrounded by nature in our outdoor wedding ceremony area, enjoying the views of the back lawn from the Banqueting Room, or having your first dance in our Grand Pavilion – all personalised to your special day.

You may decide that a more modern way of running your day is in order, or that you don’t need other elements of a wedding day that might not suit your tastes. We are open to all ideas you may have, just make an enquiry with our team and we’ll get our creative juices flowing!

Party with those who matter!

Our Grand Pavilion is suitable for up to 300 guests and is the largest space in our grounds. Included in this building is a fully furnished kitchen and outdoor cooking area for your selected supplier from our accredited caterers list to prepare your wedding feast. A fully equipped bar is also on site inside in the Pavilion for your chosen drinks supplier to use how they wish.

Features include uplighters, chandeliers, furniture and a PA system for speeches and background music. Receptions can also take place for smaller parties in Hylands House for up to 100 guests.
