Originally The Kings Head Pub in Great Baddow, this converted venue is perfect to hire for weddings, milestone celebrations, with family and friends or corporate events.
This home away from home experience delivers the luxury hotel atmosphere. By having plenty of amenities nearby in the local village, and a hairdresser and a tailor on your doorstep, your stay really will be your way!

Relax and reset
As soon as you arrive at Essex Stays, you will be able to enjoy that homestay experience straight away. You are first welcomed into a vast open-plan eating and social space, with a kitchen area, entertainment spaces, and a dining area with plenty of room for you spread out and feel at home.
The multiple sleeping accommodation on the first floor is fitted out with comfortable furnishings in cosy rooms with complementary toiletries and towels.
Relax in the 10-person outdoor hot tub with massage jets in the large lawn garden with decking and BBQ/entertainment space.
Start your day right
The master bedroom on the ground floor is ideal for use as a bridal suite with an enormous Japanese bath (perfect for sharing!).
A vanity ‘glam room’ with five Hollywood style mirror stations is on the first floor, providing a bright and spacious area to get ready together.
If you are missing anything or have forgotten something, you are just 200m from the local village of Great Baddow, with convenience shops and amenities just a short walk away.

Carry on the night when you return from your day at Hylands Estate, in either the intimate private cocktail bar or the fully sound proofed karaoke bar!
The Lucky Voice karaoke system plays a variety of sing-along favourites, with the feeling you are in one of Chelmsford’s top nightclubs. The cocktail bar has all the equipment you need to serve your own bespoke cocktails – just make sure you’ve stocked it up with your favourites!
The open-plan space on the ground floor is yours to spread out in, with a 55” TV if you wanted to wind down at the end of the today. And there’s no need to worry about security, as your party will be given a unique code to enter the venue giving you absolute privacy.
